When properly equipped, the Ford F-150 can tow a maximum of 14,000 pounds and hold a payload of 3,310 pounds! This impressive capability is hard to beat, even when it comes to the Silverado’s maximum towing of 13,300 pounds and payload capacity of 2,260 pounds.
The F-150 also offers several towing features to help you safely pull your trailer or large boat on the road, such as:

The optional 3.5L High-Output EcoBoost® V6 generates an unbeatable 450 horsepower!
Unfortunately, you won’t find that same power in the 2023 Silverado. With four engines to choose from, the most powerful engine—the available 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine, which produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque—still falls short of the F-150. You won’t have a hybrid option, either, so you may have to make more frequent gas station stops.
